Eliminating Repetitive Tasks in Manufacturing

Pure automation isn’t the only route to minimizing repetitive and manual tasks. Similarly, there are cobots, or collaborative robots. These machines are different from traditional industrial robot applications as they are intended for direct human-robot interaction. Cobots are relatively new but the demand for them is projected to skyrocket with the market growing from $590.5 million in 2020 to almost $2 billion in 2026. Furthermore, by 2025, 34% of the industrial robots sold will be collaborative according to industry experts. Cobots are cost effective, safe and flexible. As such they can be the ideal modernization tool for small- and mid-sized manufacturers in terms of reducing redundant tasks, improving productivity and achieving peak performance objectives.
